Resolute Mining recently conducted an infill drilling programme at Syama North, located within the Syama gold mine in Mali. As a result, the Africa-focused gold miner has seen a remarkable 46% increase in the measured and indicated resources.

The measured and indicated resources at Syama North have now reached 2.72 million ounces, up from the initial estimate of 1.86 million ounces. These resources have a grading of 3.0 grams of gold per ton.

It is important to note that an indicated resource is considered to have confirmed properties, while a measured resource indicates the highest level of knowledge and confidence in a resource.

With this substantial increase, the total measured and indicated resource for the Syama gold mine now stands at an impressive 9.1 million ounces. Resolute Mining believes that this resource can support an operation much larger than the ongoing phase one expansion.

Resolute Mining plans to complete a reserve update for Syama North in September or October. This update will provide further insights into the potential of this resource.
